Experienced Atlanta DJ specializing in milestone birthdays, theme parties, reunions, and social events - bringing decades of music together.
Let's Dance Through the Decades!

My DJ story began in New Orleans in the late 1970s, playing clubs, lounges and private parties with vinyl records, a pair of turntables and a room full of people deciding—in real time—whether you had picked the right song.
There were no playlists, streaming services or instant downloads. You had to know the music you brought with you, understand how different songs worked together, and most importantly, pay attention to the dance floor. That's where I learned to DJ.
I continued playing through the decades that followed before eventually stepping away. Years later, friends encouraged me to get behind the decks again. The equipment had changed dramatically. The job really hadn't.
Today I bring that experience to the kinds of events I enjoy most—milestone birthdays, decade and theme parties, reunions and social gatherings. The technology is modern, but my approach is still the same: know the music, read the room, and play the right song at the right moment.

My musical sweet spot is dance music across the decades—Disco, Funk, Motown, R&B, 80s New Wave and Pop, 90s, Classic and Alternative Rock, 2000s favorites, and today's familiar party hits.
I especially enjoy decade and theme parties, but every crowd is different. An 80s party, for example, can move through New Wave, dance, R&B, pop and rock depending on what connects with your guests. For a mixed-decade event, we might move from Motown and disco into the 80s and 90s, jump forward to the 2000s, or mix in today's favorites.
I prepare for your event, but never arrive with a rigid playlist. The people in the room ultimately determine where the music goes and what keeps the dance floor moving.

Great sound should feel clear, full, and comfortable — never overwhelming. My system is designed to fill the room evenly, so your guests can enjoy the music and still hold a conversation when they want to.
I use a modern, professional-grade sound system that delivers high clarity at lower volume levels, creating an immersive dance floor experience without “blowing out” the room. This setup is ideal for events of up to 100 guests, where sound quality matters more than raw volume.
For announcements, toasts, or light MC duties, I provide two high-quality microphones .

Every DJ has access to music. What makes the difference is knowing what to play, when to play it, and when it's time to change direction.
I began DJing long before digital playlists and streaming services. Back then, reading the dance floor wasn't optional—it was the job. That experience still shapes every event I perform today.
Before your event, I'll learn about your guests, the age groups you'll be bringing together, and the atmosphere you want to create. Whether it's a 50th birthday, a retirement party, a reunion, or an 80s-themed celebration, the music is tailored to the people in the room—not a pre-built playlist.
During the event, I watch the crowd and adjust in real time. If one decade is filling the dance floor, we'll stay there. If it's time to shift from disco to 80s, from 90s dance to Motown, or from sing-alongs to today's party favorites, I'll make those transitions naturally to keep the energy moving.
My goal isn't to play my favorite songs. It's to play your memories, create new ones, and keep guests of every generation engaged throughout the night.
Great parties aren't created by bigger speakers or more lights. They're created by the right song at the right moment.
I DJ a wide range of private and social events where great music and fun are the priority. My style is especially well-suited for gatherings that bring together multiple generations and guests who appreciate both classic favorites and familiar modern hits.
Common events I DJ include:
I bring to every event a deep, personally curated collection of popular dance favorites across decades. A quick conversation is usually the best way to determine whether my vibe is the right fit for your event.
While I have DJ’d many weddings in the past, I am not currently booking wedding events.
I originally started DJ’ing in New Orleans, working local bars, clubs, and private events alongside a close friend who had an extensive vinyl collection of 45 RPM records. I worked regular nights at the Parkway Tavern, Bruno's Uptown, Frankie & Johnny's, and popular Fat City clubs. Those early years were all about developing a deep connection between the music and your crowd.
The simple answer is "yes". I welcome requests from your guests. On some occasions I may receive a request for a song that is not appropriate for your event. As always, I will make a judgement to ensure the song doesn't kill the vibe of the party or isn't age appropriate.
Lighting can make a surprisingly big difference. When it's time to dance, dimming the house lights and adding dance-floor lighting immediately changes the atmosphere and helps signal that the party is moving into a new gear.
My standard setup includes colorful dance-floor effects and moving lights that add motion and energy as the party picks up. The lighting is scaled for the smaller and mid-sized events I specialize in, so it enhances the room without overpowering it—and it's included as part of my standard DJ service.
For most private parties in the Atlanta area, my DJ services start at $395. Final pricing depends on the details of your event, including guest count, venue size, and overall setup needs.
The base service typically includes:
For larger venues or events with more than 100 guests, additional sound or lighting may be recommended to ensure proper coverage and sound quality.
Optional services include:
The best way to provide an accurate quote is through a short conversation about your event. This ensures the setup matches your space and the experience you want to create.
I require at least 30 days notice in order to receive a full refund. If the cancellation is made within 30 days of the event, a partial or full refund may be given depending on the circumstances.
